I just realized this a week ago. I'm mostly flat chested to begin with so I always used sports bras rather than invest in a binder. But after a while they seemed to get loose around the critical area so I started wearing two. After the third day I had terrible upper back pain and all the skin around my ribs (where the bras squeeze the tightest) is red, sore, and peeling. Clearly I'm squeezing the ribs way too tight so I finally broke down and ordered a binder.

I used to double-bind with sports bras, too, but I never had any major problems. Weirdly enough, the 997 Underworks binders actually helped my back pain - ever since I started wearing GC2B my back pain has been coming back.
The back pain isn't really related to the binding - I sit in one place for the majority of the day and I have really bad posture, which is why I have back pain.

I know I don't have good posture either, but I never had back pain till a week ago. This was my second day in a real binder and the back pain hasn't gotten any better. Not sure what to do about it...

The best idea is to see your doctor. Whether it's due to the binder or something else, the fact that it has lasted means there's a problem. Definitely try to get in to see your doctor, if you can.

oh, thanks. I honestly don't even have a bra I'm so flat chested but now it's either a bra or a binder so I might as well splurge a bit more on a binder cx

Please see a doctor as soon as possible. If there is ever a problem please see a doctor no matter if it involves body parts that cause dysphoria. This happens to so many people omg

I'm fine now you guys. It went away, I think I was just having real bad posture when wearing it and pulling on muscles... It's all fine now even if I wear it for the whole 8 hrs
