Hey, so I have a bit of a dilemma about coming out.. I'm already out at university to some people, and on Tumblr, and kind of to my parents (we've spoken about how I was questioning but I know I'm a transguy, I've just not "officially" said anything). However, I want to come out on Facebook and to everyone around me, the rest of the family and friends. The problem is, I lost my granddad a couple of weeks ago and some people are still really stressed about it (understandably), but I'm not sure if I can put coming out off much longer, I want to be open about who I am but at the same time I don't want to cause anymore stress to my family....
This probably makes no sense, but I just don't know what to do

I'm not sure if Facebook would be the best option but you should tell your close family at least if you are ready. It might help to tell friends first because they could support you if it didn't go well

My opinion is come out where ever and to who ever you want. If anybody questions you or doesn't agree with your views, they'll either have to accept you for who you are or they shouldn't be in your life if they can't do that. If you feel like the thing with your grandad would make coming out hard maybe wait a little bit. But if you can't wait then just come out. You've already come out to some friends, your university, and your parents, those seem like some of the most important people for you to come out to, and you've already come out to them. So what does it matter what other people think? This is your life, you do you.

My advice would be to come out. Email, facebook, a letter--even in person if you can--but maybe address that you didn't want to break this out in the midst of grieving for your grandfather but there really wasn't anything else you could do. I know that for a while after I came out to myself, I was just doing dandy being in the closet than all of a sudden I was like, 'no, i can't do this anymore, I need to come out NOW' and I did. I think it's necessary to come out when you get that feeling, unless you're actually in danger if you do so.
