So I don't wear a bra due to the fact that they're incredibly uncomfortable for me&I have panic attacks when I try to wear one. I used to wear bulky vests, but about a month ago I switched to cotton undershirts. They're not particularly supportive but they're comfortable and provide some coverage, I suppose. I've been volunteering at a library since November, & during one of my shifts yesterday one of the ladies said that I need to start wearing a bra(even though they seemed fine when I wore the bulky vests). Yeah needless to say this hasn't gone over well with me. I would quit, but(as I'm a freshman in high school)they are one of the few places I could eventually get a job at(that doesn't require too much social interaction)and apparently there's a scholarship that's like, $5000. So, does anyone know of alternatives to bras that I could wear? I don't really want to try a binder, as one of my biggest issues with bras are how tight they feel on me(and no it doesn't matter if it's the right size DO NOT SUGGEST THAT I FIND ONE THAT FITS ME WELL). I have heard of things called bandeaus, could those work? Thanks. ((also my profile says I'm "female"-how do you make that not show? I identify as NB))

Maybe you could try a thin sports bra? Or like a tank top with the shelf bra type things? Do you know your approximate breast size?

For the bras, a bandeau could work. You won't know until you try. For the gender marker, click profile at the top of the page. Then click Edit Profile in the Top Right corner of your profile. Go to the Privacy tab And one of the options should be Gender Visibility. You can turn it off there.

I use one of those built in bra tanktops on my agender days, it keeps people from fussing at me about the funbags and I'm still comfortable. Mine isn't super tight and I got mine from wal-mart for like 12 dollars I think?
Also if you're comfortable with it, there's also stick on bras which are bra cups that literally just stick to your boob. There's no compression at all but the downside to that is I've found I get itchy due to the adhesive after 5 hours. I've seen just small patches that go over the nipple but I have no experience with those as I assumed for myself personally I'd get itchy and that's the worst place to get itchy.
Alternatively you could also try a bikini bra top, it's light and you can adjust how tight it is around yourself. I use that for my pirate garb when I'm outside in a couple layers so I ensure that I don't over heat because of a bra cup adding to the layering thickness.
