Watch tutorials, don't sketch with dark pencils (generally anything over 4H will show), pray, end up buying watercolor pencils because watercolor is too hard

Definitely invest in at least 1-3 good round brushes! My must have is a size 10 and for details a size 1,2 or 4. Tape the Paper down if you use much water or it'll roll up. For the finish details sometimes gel pens(fav=white) are really nice. If you want to use black lines make sure the ink/pen is water resistant. You can get some nice effects with salt or tissue paper on a wet surface. Anything else?
