Hi! I was curious if anyone else had experience being queer and involved with the church, whether born in the covenant, converted, investigated, active, inactive or transitioned out of. Browsing the exmormon subreddit was cathartic for a while but reddit is disgusting and the exmormon sub wasn't any better. Maybe we could share stories and introduce ourselves? Please feel free to ask questions (at least directed at me) or add comments relevant to the discussion whether or not you're queer or mormon.
I'm A. I'm 18, bisexual, agender (they/them, please!) and still live at home. I am a fifth-generation mormon and my immediate and extended family are super-mormons. I've been out of the church mentally for about 1.5 years and haven't been involved in any church activities for about six months. I sent in my resignation letter a couple weeks ago, actually. I also came out as bisexual on Facebook and to my parents the same day. It went well, thankfully.
