With warped tour in particular? Unfortunately no, I pretty much forget to go every year because tickets are free...
However I'm big into concerts and festivals, so I mean if you have general questions, I have nothing but answers to offer. And when I say concerts I mean all kinds, mainly punk, folk, indie, alternative, metal, and of course mEtAl as well.

alright, if the gates open at 11am, around what time would you get in line, assuming you wanted to be toward the front?

Depends on how assertive you're willing to be. I usually show up an hour early, and since it's a festival that goes all day, it'll probably be pretty easy in the morning. A lot of people will wait until it's already half over before they show up.

yeah i get that. i only have a few bands that i'm dying to see so if one of them is toward the beginning of the day then i'll probably camp out for a few hours. i kinda want to bring my camera, but i have a strong feeling it'll get broken or stolen.

I would highly recommend not bringing anything you mind losing to Warped Tour.

Don't bother buying schedule if you really don't have the money because you can just see it for free or ask to look at other peoples's. If you want to be in front for a band try to go one concert early because you can usually get pretty close by then. If you see people pushing their way forward follow them, mosh pits are also a good way to get closer. Bring water and do not forget to drink it, usually the big bands will have someone throw a monster can or two with water in it after every 3 songs or so, if you don't mind drinking from something several people drank from then get some water that way. Only bring one un opened water bottle and maybe a snack for food and drinks. Anything else will be taken away at the door and you will not get it back. Bring 6 (or so) canned goods for a skip the line pass. They will have a free filling station for your water bottle so don't buy any unless you have to. If you see someone lifting another person up to crowd surf don't be afraid to ask too (usually after just pointing up they will get the idea) socialize in between concerts. All the main stages have 45 min between concerts. If you see a band member don't be too shy! Call out their name and most likely they will look at you and probably hug you (I met Austin from Of Mice and Men that way). Sun screen is a must and so is water! You can't enjoy a concert if you are sitting in the med tent because you passed out. But yeah that's what I have learned in the past two years of warped. What venue are you going to?

wow that was a great response thanks!! i'm pretty good at wiggling myself toward the front few rows, and i've got a good number of concerts under my belt so i have a good handle on when i need to step out. i've never crowd surfed bust maybe i'll get the courage to this time. i'm going to aaron's ampitheater in atlanta!
