So I have two things 1. My friend, Jim, asked another friend, Sally, to prom, Sally said yes but then later told me she only said yes because Jim who asked her really likes her. Jim doesn't know this and is super excited. Was it wrong of Sally to say yes? (neither of these names are legit just for privacy reasons)
2. On a cooler note, I am wearing a suit to prom, are any of you guys wearing something that matches your gender identity to prom? Pics if so?

1) I think it's okay that Sally said yes, but she should tell him that she doesn't quite feel the same way about him as he feels about her. That could change. That's why we go on dates. But she needs to be honest with him or else she could lead him on and hurt him worse than she might already. 2) I wore a nice dress to prom, but something that's cool at FAU is that the LGBT+ group on campus throws a "Gender Bender Ball" and you can dress however you want. I still wore a dress, but my best friend wore some great masculine clothing.

i'm kinda in sally's situation right now. a guy asked me, and i said i'm going with friends but if i wanted a platonic date i would let him know. i told him i don't feel the same way he does and he understood.

sally did the right thing! but just like bec said, it's probably better to tell him up front how she actually feels to prevent any confusion/leading on. i would have done the same thing in that situation, it's cool!!
and nobody asked me to prom this year, so i decided not to go! bluh.

When I was in high school we didn't have a prom so it was never a issue to worry about - the closest thing that was dun was a yearly trip to WonderLand (theme park with lots of roleercosters and sickly sweet food) that those in the graduating classes sign up for (never understood why it was such a big deal, but then I've never been a fan of WonderLand to start with)
