Unfortunately I get infections easily and I'm allergic to most metals so I just have my earlobes done.

Lacontadora, do you have an allergy to titanium? If you go to a reputable shop they usually have titanium pieces that are hypoallergenic.
Just... don't get pierced at a Claire's or a Piercing Pagoda. Ever.

How did you know I got my first and only piercing at Claire's and it was awful? I don't think I have an allergy to titanium, I have a titanium ring and it doesn't bother me. Mostly I stick with stirling silver or gold to be on the safe side. I think it's really anything with nickel, so once the outer paint or whatever wears off I have problems (it's why I'm stuck with plastic only glasses frames too). I was thinking of getting my cartilage pierced, but I'm not sure that would be ok for work since I have to look 'professional.'

Claire's jewelry is typically cheap, and the piercers are trained to use a gun. (I don't even think that they have a dedicated piercer, to be honest.) Guns are terrible to use for your ears. I heard you can use clear nail police to make jewelry hypoallergenic, but I typically order from factories online instead.
You can take a cartilage piercing out and it's not very noticeable.

Yep, it was awful. And I have tried the clear nail polish thing but it wears off really fast for me. Im never going back to Claires, I would definitely use a professional.

my ears are, and i got my nose pierced a little over a year ago and i love it. i've been thinking about getting my septum done.

Septum isn't TERRIBLE, but there will definitely be a moment where you question why you did it as it was going on. Not much pain afterward, though. Both the boy and I have our septums pierced.

The septum ring didn't hurt at all. Don't listen to the reindeer. Shove everything through your nose.
But yes. I've also had my nipples pierced and repierced and I plan on repiercing them.

I decided when I was 12 to get my ears pierced. Mistake? Probably. They haven't closed yet, but I'm not used to jewelry anymore. Maybe later
